LiFePO4 Battery 12V (12.8V) 50Ah GREEN Line Kon-TEC
Features of 12V 50Ah LiFePO4 Kon-TEC Batteries :
I. Low Weight, High Power
12V 50Ah LiFePO4 Kon-TEC batteries are half the weight and deliver greater power output than traditional lead-acid, gel, or AGM batteries. LiFePO4 batteries have a high energy density, meaning they can store a large amount of energy in a relatively small mass.
II. Fast Charging and High Energy Efficiency
LiFePO4 batteries are capable of fast charging, which can be crucial when time is of the essence. Our lithium-ion batteries have very high efficiency (around 97%) and low internal resistance, enabling rapid charging with low energy losses. In comparison, lead-acid batteries lose power much faster during discharge.
III. 100% Capacity Regardless of Load
Kon-TEC LiFePO4 batteries ensure the use of 100% nominal capacity, regardless of the load current. On the other hand, lead-acid batteries provide significantly less usable energy under higher loads. They are usually limited to only 50% of the nominal capacity to prevent reducing their lifespan.
IV. Voltage Stability
LiFePO4 batteries maintain a relatively stable voltage during discharge, which can affect the even operation of electrical devices. The voltage difference between a fully charged and a discharged LiFePO4 battery is only about 1.5~2V.
V. Very High Durability
The lifespan of Kon-TEC LiFePO4 batteries is about 2500 cycles (full charge and discharge), 3500 cycles at 80% DoD, depending on the battery discharge. In comparison, a lead-acid battery used in photovoltaic systems typically lasts only around 200-300 cycles at the same discharge level. The greater the discharge depth, the shorter the battery's lifespan. Keep in mind that after exceeding the mentioned cycle numbers, the battery still works, but its properties will deteriorate.
VI. Performance Gains
The initial cost of Li-ion batteries may seem high, but the investment made in their purchase provides enormous long-term savings. Kon-TEC LiFePO4 batteries offer much greater efficiency and lifespan compared to traditional lead-acid batteries. Ultimately, this results in significantly lower operating costs, replacement costs, and minimized downtime.
Typically, the cost of lead-acid batteries is spread over a minimum of one year, up to a maximum of three years. With LiFePO4 batteries, we can safely spread the purchase cost over five to seven years. With the maximum difference, one year with a lead-acid battery and five years with a LiFePO4 battery results in 2x to 3x lower operational costs for LiFePO4 batteries.
IX. From 12V Battery to 24V, 36V, or 48V Battery
Remember that by connecting 12V batteries in series, you can obtain 24V, 36V, or 48V. An additional recommended component for such an installation is the KT-04 balancer.
DESPITE THE HIGHER INITIAL PURCHASE COST OF THE 12V 50Ah LiFePO4 KON-TEC BATTERY, IT IS MORE COST-EFFECTIVE THAN A CLASSIC GEL/AGM BATTERY.
BMS
The battery features built-in protection against improper use, protecting it from:
overcharging
excessive discharging
reverse polarity
overheating
short-circuiting
charging at negative temperatures
This practically prevents damage to the battery, significantly extending its lifespan. The presented battery can be connected in series for higher voltage and in parallel to increase capacity. The maximum continuous operating current is 50A.
LiFePO4 Battery can be used in a very wide range of temperatures from -20 to 60 degrees Celsius.
Our battery, unlike other products available on the market, has protection that prevents charging at negative temperatures, even if it is connected to a charger. LiFePO4 batteries should not be charged below 0°C, as this can cause damage to them.
The exception is batteries with heating mats, which can be charged at negative temperatures. If you plan to use a boat in conditions requiring charging at negative temperatures, check out the battery with heating mats KT-LFP12100-GL.
Charging
Remember that to charge LiFePO4 batteries, chargers designed for lead-acid batteries should not be used. These chargers have a lower charging current and cannot fully charge a LiFePO4 battery.
Kon-TEC chargers have their own processor and PWM signal control technology. This ensures that the DL series chargers offer advantages such as high efficiency, stability of parameters, low emissions, and energy savings. Through automatic control of charging current and voltage, the charger ensures full battery charging without dangerous overcharging. During the charging process, the battery is protected. Below, you can find information on charging times for the above battery.
